Question 458883: One long distanceplan costs $39.95 per month. The first 120 minutes of long distance calls are free. Each minute thereafter costs $0.06. For a bill of $52.55, how many minutes over 120 were called?
I worked the problem out and my answer was 876 calls, but i'm not sure if i made a mistake anywhere.
My Work:
$52.55=$0.06calls
52.55/0.06=calls
876=calls
Can you just review my work for me! Thank You!
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
One long plan costs $39.95 per month.
The first 120 minutes of long distance calls are free.
Each minute thereafter costs $0.06.
For a bill of $52.55, how many minutes over 120 were called?
---
52.55-39.95 = $12.60
You paid for 1260/6 = 210 calls
