Draw a vertical line through a normal distribution for each of the following z-score locations. Determine whether the body is on the right or left side of the line and find the proportion in the tail.
a. z = 2.20
vertical line 2.20 standard deviations to the right of the mean.
body to left of the line
tail to the right = P(2.20<= z <=100) = 0.0139
------------------------------------------------
b. z = 1.60
vertical line 1.6 standard deviations to the right of the mean.
body to left of the line
tail to the right = P(1.6<= z <=100) = 0.0548
-------------------
c. z = -1.50
vertical line 1.5 standard deviations to the left of the mean.
body to the right
left tail = P(-100<= z <=-1.6) = 0.5478
----
d. z = -0.70
I'll leave this one to you.
