Hint: the median is the halfway point. So cut the data into two equal halves and the median will be that cutting point. Think of these halves as the lower and upper half. The first quartile will be the median of the lower half (ie you cut the first half in half to get a "quarter" for "quartile") and the third quartile will be the median of the upper half.
