a) no. of ways to select 1 dictionary and 2 other books =8C2* 1C1 = 28
required probability = 28/84
= 1/3
b) no. of ways to select 2 novels and 1 poem book = 5C2 * 3C1 = 10 * 3 = 30
required probability = 30/84
= 5/14
