suppose there are 3 scholarships available this year, 1 for 20,000, 10,000 and 5,000 respectively. college has 20 equally matched applications for a scholarship ans we to randomly select 3 people to receive them. how many different lists of applicants receiving the funds are there?

Answer by sudhanshu_kmr(1152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

number of different ways = 20P3 = 6840

another method....
no. of ways to select a applicant for first scholarship = 20
no. of ways to select a applicant for second scholarship = 19
no. of ways to select a applicant for third scholarship = 18
total ways = 20*19*18 = 6840

i hope u clearly get this problem..
