24 cans of soft drinks: one can is drawn at random from:

 6 cola, 6 root beer, 3 orange, 3 sparkling water, and 6 ginger ale.

P(a can of root beer) = 6/24 = 1/4

P((b) a can of cola 'or' a can of ginger ale) = 1/4 + 6/24 = 1/2

P(a can that is neither cola, root beer, nor ginger ale)= 1-18/24 = 6/24 = 1/4
