Question 379410: please help m solve this solution to the set of equations [X+Y=3 4x=5-y]
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X+Y=3
4x=5-y
----
Rearrange:
y + x = 3
y +4x = 5
----
Subtract the 1st from the 2nd and solve for "x":
3x = 2
x = 2/3
------
Since y+x = 3, y = 3-(2/3) = 7/3
