Type I error would be to "incorrectly reject" the null hypothesis in favor of
the alternative, implying there is a difference in statistics texts
Type II error is to "falsely accept" the null hypothesis and implying
There is no difference in statistics texts when there is.
Write a correct null and alternative hypothesis that tests the claim that the
mean distance a student commutes to campus is no less than 8.2 miles.
Note: If the original claim includes equality (<=, =, or >=), it is the null hypothesis.
Ho: u ≥ 8.2mi
Ha: u < 8.2mi
