Question 367344: IF A 6 FOOT ROPE IS CUT INTO TWO PIECES WHAT IS THE POSSIBILITIES OF ONE SIDE BEING GREATER THAN THREE

The probability that one side is greater than 3 is 1. (For suppose that one length is less than 3; then the other cut side should be greater than 3.)The probability that the two lengths are 3 is 0. The probability that one length is 6 (or 0 for that matter) is 0 (because that is the same no cut being made.)
