Question 364117: I need help with this question"
Express the event “worked out at least once” in terms of X. What is the probability of this event?
Here is the data:
x represents the number of days people worked out for the week
0.68 for x=0
0.05 for x=1
0.07 for x=2
0.08 for x=3
0.05 for x=4
0.04 for x=5
0.01 for x=6
0.02 for x=7
I said that there is a 1 in 7 chance that someone worked out one day during the week because the numbers add up to one. Is this correct?

Express the event “worked out at least once” in terms of X. What is the probability of this event?
Here is the data:
x represents the number of days people worked out for the week
0.68 for x=0
0.05 for x=1
0.07 for x=2
0.08 for x=3
0.05 for x=4
0.04 for x=5
0.01 for x=6
0.02 for x=7
I said that there is a 1 in 7 chance that someone worked out one day during the week because the numbers add up to one. Is this correct?
-----
P(worked at least once) = 1 - P(did not work on any of the 7 days)
= 1 - 0.68 = 0.32
