Suppose the probability of selling a car today is 0.28. Find the odds against selling a car today?
1.  Express the probability as a fraction.  0.28 = 

2.  Subtract the numerator from the denominator.  25-7 = 18

3.  Write that number then a colon, then the numerator of the probability.  18:7

4.  You can think of it like the score of a football game, where the predicted
score of the game is 18 to 7 in favor of the team representing selling the car
today.
