Question 348612: I need help with this one: When selecting a card from a regular deck of 52 playing cards, what is the probability that the card is not a king AND not a spade.
I have tried to go about it while taking out all of the kings and all of the rest of the spades which adds up to 12 spades minus the king. I am having problems with the rest of the computation.

There are 9 kings among the 39 cards.
That leaves 30 cards that are not spade and not king.
