Question 324295: use formulat: sample mean+ margin of error...margin of error=z o/sqrtn
___
a manager of a baseball satdium wished to construct a 90% confidence interval for the average age of all baseball fans. in a random sample of 40 fans the mean age was 32.5 wiht a standard deviation of 2.3 years. construct an internval. why would the mananger fin this informatio useful?
i cam up with the margin error of .60....is that all i need to do for this problem or do i do the phat+.60 and phat-.60...or am i adding many extra steps that aren't necessary.....help please thank you

================
For this confidence interval you need:
x-bar = 32.5
and
margin of error = 1.6849*2.3/sqrt(40) = 0.6127
-----
Then construct xbar-ME < u < xbar+ME
