Question 321534: In comparing the two variances below, what is the test value and what are the degree of freedom that should be used?
Sample 1
Variance is 6
Number of values is 18
Sample 2
Variance is 11
Number of values is 29
Did I figure this right? Test Value = Sample 2 Variance / Sample 1 Variance = 11 / 6 = 1.83 and the degrees of freedom using the formula (n-1) is 18 - 1 = 17 and 29 - 1 = 28
