An investigator follows the stock market and is particularly interested in the Dow-Jones Industrial Index. Consider the following two outcomes :
A: At the close of trading today , The Dow-Jones index will be higher than at yesterday close .
B: At the close of trading today , the Dow -Jones index will not be higher than at yesterday close .
Are the two events are mutually exclusive and exhaustive ? Give your logic .

There are no other possible choices for the average.
