A flight arrives at a random time, uniformly distributed between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Find the probability that the flight arrives
(a) before 6:10
(b) between 6:15 and 6:25
(c) after 6:20
(d) before 6:20
(e) between 6:05 and 6:25
(f) after 6:10

this only LOOKS difficult

uniformly distributed means every time has equal probability

so the probability for any segment of time is just the length of the segment divided by the total time (30 min)

example ___ there is a 90% probability that the flight will arrive by 6:27 because 27 is 90% of 30
