Let represent the number of cat charts plus the number of bird charts in the stack. Let represent the number of dog plus snake plus iguana plus horse plus alpaca plus...everything else charts in the stack.

That means that is the total number of folders in the stack.

The probability of getting either a cat's or a bird's chart is:



Reducing it to lowest terms is on you once you supply the actual numbers.
