Question 309573: A bag contains 2 red marbles , 4 green marbles , 4 blue marbles you choose one marble at random , put the marble back in the bag, then choose a second marble at random . What is the probability that you choose 2 red marbles.
Answer by alicealc(293)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 red marbles , 4 green marbles , 4 blue marbles
total, there are 10 marbles
probability to get:
1st red marble = 2/10 = 0.2
then the red marble is put back in the bag, so the probability to get the 2nd red marble is same as the probability to get 1st red marble, that is 0.2

so, the probability to get 2 red marbles for this problem is 0.2 * 0.2 = 0.04
