Question 301590: A phatmaceutical firm claims that only ten percent of new drugs show to be effective in animal tests ever make it through clinical tests and to the market. If a firm has 15 new compounds shown to be effective in animals calculate P(none will reach the market) and P(at most one will reach the market). Also I have to calculate the mean and variance of the number of compounds that will reach the market. Any help would be great - final is tomorrow and am completely confused. Thanks!
