Answer by user_dude2008(1862) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2+(x+2)^2=10^2
x^2+x^2+4x+4=100
2x^2+4x-96=0
x^2+2x-48=0
(x-6)(x+8)=0
x-6=0 or x+8=0
x=6 or x=8
Answer: side lengths are 6 and 8
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Call the lengths of the sides s and s+2
(s + 8)*(s - 6) = 0
s = -8 (Ignore)
--------------
s = 6 meters
The 2nd side = 8 meters
