Question 268899: one card is selected from a deck of playing cards. Determine the probability of selecting “a jack or a club
Answer by vksarvepalli(154) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
in a deck of cards there are a total of 52 cards
in that there are 13 clubs
out of that 13 one is a jack
and there are four jack's
so number of favorable cards = 13+3= 16 (as one jack is already counted in clubs)
so the the probability of selecting a jack or a club is = 16/52
= 4/13 (Answer)
