find the probability that a weight of a quarter is between 5.60 grams and 5.70 grams-
I was given 36 quarters with differents weights in grams, the mean is 5.61806 and the standard deviation is .06576, not sure what other info I need to solve this problem!
-------------------
Find the z-value of 5.6 and of 5.7
z(5.6) = (5.6-5.61806)/[0.06576/sqrt(36)] = -1.6478
---
z(5.7) = (5.7-5.61806)/[0.06576/sqrt(36] = 7.4763
-----------------
P(5.6 < x < 5.7) = P(-1.6478 < z < 7.4763) = 0.9503..
