Question 195090: This is not from a text but a question my instructor asked me about. I did not see a solver that could help or any other problem similar. Can someone please help? As for the type of question it is I think it is a combination problem. Am I correct?
Here's the question. . .
Suppose you pack for a trip and you take 5 blouses, 3 pairs of jeans, and 2 pairs of shoes. How many outfits do you have? What kind of problem is this?
Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For each of the 5 choices of blouse, you have 3 choices of jeans for a total of 15 choices, then for each of those 15 choices you have a choice of 2 pairs of shoes, so 15 X 2 = 30
