2.A movie company surveyed 1000 people. 229 people said they went to see the new movie on Friday, 256 said they went on Saturday. If 24 people saw the movie both nights, what is the probability that a person chosen at random saw the movie on Friday or Saturday?

1.A circle with a radius of64 1 in. is inscribed in a right triangle with legs of 3 in. and 4 in. If a point is randomly chosen within the triangle, what is the probability that the point is NOT also in the circle?

Area of the triangle: (1/2)3*4 = 6 sq. in
-------------
Area of the circle:(pi)*1^2 = pi
------------------------
Area of the triangle minus the area of the circle = (6-pi)
Probility the point is not also in the circle = (6-pi)/6 = 1-(pi/6)=0.4764
