in a bridge club, there are three more women than men. how many people are members of the club if the probability that a member chosen at random, is a woman is 3/5?

P(women) = (# of women)/(total number of people) = 3/5
P(men) = 2/5
Odds for women = (3//5)/(2/5) =3:2 which is the same as 3x/2x
where 3x is # of women and 2x is # of men.
EQUATION:
3x = 2x + 3
x = 3
3x = 9 = # of women
2x = 6 = # of men
