Question 133480: Determine the mean and standard deviation of the following set of sample data:
34, 24, 35, 33, 29, 47, 55
mean = ___________ S.D. = ____________

Answer by elima(1433)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Mean = add all numbers together and divide by the number of values;
34+24+35+33+29+47+55=257/7=36.72=37
S.D.= each number minus the mean squared;
34-37==9
24-37==169
35-37==4
33-37==16
29-37==64
47-37==100
55-37==324
-----------------------
add them all together = 686=S.D.
