Question 1206750: A poll in Nantucket was conducted with 1,500 people. 68% of the people surveyed they prefer blueberries with a margin of error of +/- 2.5% .
How many people does the survey suggest who prefer blueberries?

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sample size is 1500.
68% preferred blueberries
margin of error = plus or minus 2.5%.

68% * 1500 = 1020.
plus or minus 2.5% = 2.5% * 1500 = 37.5 = 38.

that would be 982 to 1058 when 1500 are sampled.
