Question 1203660: For each of the following, place the vertical line on the Distributions tool at the z-score location. Determine whether the body is on the right or left side of the line, and find the proportion in the body.
z = 2.00: z=0.50 z=-1.50 z=-1.67
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
somehow i believe the distribution tool is missing.
without that, all i can do is tell you the area to the left and the right of each z-score.
area to the left of z-score of 2.00 = .9772
area to the right of that z-score = 1 minus that = .0228
area to the left of z-score of .5 = .6915
area to the right of that z-score = 1 minus that = .3085
area to the left of z-score of -1.5 = .0668
area to the right of that z-score = 1 minus that = .9332
area to the left of z-score of -1.67 = .0475
area to the right of that z-score = 1 minus that = .9525
area to the left is the probability of getting a z-score less than that.
area to the right is the probability of getting a z-score more than that.
here's what they look like on a graph.
the graphs show the area to the left of the z-score.
your line would be where the black on the graph meets the white.
