(a)  To answer (a),  add the given numbers from 0.22 to 0.63, inclusive.

     Make sure that the sum is 1, or 100%.  So, the answer to (a) is  P = 1, or 100%.


     It means that the sets of students, learning the above mentioned languages,
     are disjoint and cover the entire set of students in grades 9 to 12.



(b)  It implies that P(French) = 0.1;  P(German) = 0.04;  P(Spanish) = 0.22.     ANSWER



(c)  P(not German) = 1 - 0.04 = 0.96, or 96%.    ANSWER
