26 of the remaining 39 cards are black; and that includes the spades. So the probability of getting spade or black is just the probability of getting black.

ANSWER: 26/39 = 2/3

You can do the conversion to decimal form....

Red cards: Diamonds and Hearts
Black cards: Spades and Clubs

The set of spades is subset of the black cards.
Meaning the event "select spade OR black" is the same as "select black card", as mentioned by the other tutor.

The type of cards we have left are: Hearts, Spades, and Clubs.

Two of those card categories are black, out of 3 categories total.

Therefore, we get 2/3 = 0.667 approximately.
Round that decimal value however needed.
The 6's go on forever, but of course we have to round at some point.
