If one student is chosen at random, find the probability that the student was female OR got an "C". Round your answer to 4 decimal places.

From the Table, take the number of total females, which is 42.


Add to it 6, the number of males who have grade "C".


The sum is  42 + 6 = 48.


Now, to get the answer, relate 48 to the grand total, which is 72.
