Question 1187676: What is the probability that an arrangement of the word BOOKKEEPER has 3 adjacent E’s in it? Example: BROKEEEKOP.

Let "X" = "EEE"

The number of distinguishable arrangements of BOOKKXPR is 8!/(2!2!) = 10080.

The number of distinguishable arrangements of BOOKKEEPER is 10!/(2!2!3!) = 151200.

The probability is 10080 ways out of 151200 or 10080/151200 which reduces to 1/15.
