Scores on the SAT test are normally distributed with a mean of 984 and a standard deviation of 202. Scores on the ACT test are normally distributed with a mean of 20.9 and a standard deviation of 3.9. It is assumed that the two tests measure the same aptitude, but use different scales.
If a student gets an SAT score that is the 50-percentile, find the actual SAT score.

ACT test are normally distributed with a mean of 20.9 and a standard deviation of 3.9

50% SAT - score 984
50% ACT - score 20.9

SAt = 1206   z = (1206-984)/202 = 1.099
ACT = 1.099*3.9 + 20.9 = 25.2
