How do I find the value that is one standard deviation below the mean. (I have to round the answer to one decimal place.)
Thanks to anyone who can help explain this to me. I appreciate you all for taking the time out of your day to help students like me understand math problems.
Answer by ikleyn(52874) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
As I understand the problem, you should find the mean and the standard deviation, and then subtract one standard deviation from the mean.
How to find a mean and how to find a standard deviation is written in any of numerous textbooks in statistics.
You also can find tens sites in the Internet with free of charge online solvers,
that will make all this routine job for you, as soon as you input your data.
In parallel, these sites will teach you everything that you need to know about the subject.
Key words: mean, standard deviation, online calculator.
