There are 36 different outcomes when rolling two normal six-sided dice. One of those outcomes is a 2, namely a 1 and a 1. Six of those outcomes are a 7, 1 and 6, 2 and 5, 3 and 4, 4 and 3, 5 and 2, and 6 and 1.
