Question 1160898: When a particular machine is functioning properly, 80% of the items
produced are non-defective.
1. If six items are examined, what is the probability that exactly four are nondefective?
2. If six items are examined, what is the probability that exactly three are
defective?
3. If six items are examined, what is the probability that at least four are nondefective

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This is 6C4*0.8^4*0.2^2=0.2458 for 4
6C3*0.8^3*0.2^3=0.0819
for the third, look at 4,5,6. We have 4 above
5 is 0.3932
6 is .8^6=0.2621
Those three sum to 0.9011
