Can the 3 that can be catchers play another position besides catcher, or can they ONLY be the catcher and nothing else?

Can the 6 that can be pitchers play another position besides pitcher, or can they ONLY be the pitcher and nothing else?

The answer to those questions cannot be determined from the wording above.  But
I will assume the answer is "yes":  

Choose the catcher 3 ways.
Choose the pitcher 6 ways.
Choose the other 7 positions from the remaining unchosen 16 players in 
3∙6∙16P7 = 3∙6∙16∙15∙14∙13∙12∙11∙10 = 1,037,836,800 ways.
