Find the z-score where the area to the left of z is 0.9500. (This is the same z-score where the area to the right of z is 0.0500.) The z-score where this occurs is at 1.645.

= 1.6450

= 1.6450

Cross-multiply:

x - 7 = 2(1.6450)

Simplify and solve for x:

x - 7 = 3.2900

x = 10.2900

A person must watch at least 10.3 hours of TV per day to be eligible for the interview.
