i have the pie chart. im just not sure if i divide the the percent by the whole pie chart which would be 100 percent. or if i take 4.1 percent out of the whole then divide

The pie chart isn't shown here, but one would take the amount listed, like 4.1%, and divide that by 100%.
It is the amount of each part of the pie divided by 100, NOT divided by what is left when that part is removed.
