I will answer one question only.
The probability of event A occurring is 0.3 and the probability of event B occurring is 0.4.
What is P(A and B) given that A and B are independent events?
Since the events A and B are independent,
P(A and B) = P(A)*P(B) = 0.3*0.4 = 0.12.
It is the definition of the property of two events to be independent (!)
