if the prbability of getting a girl is the same as the probability of getting a boy, then the probability of getting a girl is .5.

the probability that at least 1 is a girl is 1 minus the probability that non are girls.

the probability that none are girls is .5 * .5 * .5 = .125

the probability that at least 1 will be a girl is 1 - .125 = .875.
