Question 1122481: Assume the random variable X is normally distributed with mean mu equals 50
and standard deviation sigma equals 7
.
Compute the probability. Prob (34 is less than X and less than 64)
Is there anyway to compute this problem on a TI-84 plus? Thank you!!!!!
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The easiest way is to compute the z values for each, which are from -2.286 to +2, then go to zcdf and put in those numbers. One can draw in the two probabilities (greater than/less than), then take the complement, but that would be more work.
