Answer by math_helper(2461)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2,3,4,5 can be rolled in 1,2,3,4 ways, respectively: that's 10 possible outcomes
8 can be rolled in 5 ways, bringing the number of outcomes of interest to 15.

There are 36 possible outcomes of two dice: so there are 36-15=21 other outcomes.

That's 15:21 odds in favor of 8 or at most 5, after dividing through by 3, you get the equivalent
odds (B)
