Question 1120584: The probability that Isaac can solve a maths problem is 0.95 and Diana's probability of solving the same problem is 0.92
a) draw a tree diagram to illustrate all possible outcomes
b) what is the probability neither of them solves the problem
c) what is the probability that only one of them solves the problem

Given:
P(I) = 0.95
P(D) = 0.92

So:
P(I') = 0.05
P(D') = 0.08

Then
P(ID) = 0.95*0.92 = 0.874
P(ID') = 0.95*0.08 = 0.076
P(I'D) = 0.92*0.05 = 0.046
P(I'D') = 0.05*0.08 = 0.004

Note the sum of all the probabilities is 1, which means the calculations are correct.
