Need to know more about the distribution of the students in the population that is expected as well as the standard deviation of that population or at least of the sample. That is probably listed somewhere in that problem. The sampling distribution of the mean is normal if the population is considered normal, it has the same mean, and the standard deviation is the population sd divided by the sqrt (sample size).
