Question 1095452: If(P(A)=0.022, P(B)=0.068 and P(A or B)= 0.248 then if follows that?
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20081)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If(P(A)=0.022, P(B)=0.068 and P(A or B)= 0.248 then if follows that
this is impossible.

  P(A or B) =  P(A) +  P(B) - P(A and B)
    0.248   = 0.022 + 0.068 - P(A and B)
    0.248   =      0.090    - P(A and B)
 P(A and B) = -0.158, but no probability is ever negative.
