Question 1088415: There are 6 toffee, 14 caramel and 8 nut centred chocolates in a box. How many chocolates do you have to pick to make sure you have a nut centred chocolate?
My thoughts to the above question is; the ratio of the above is 3:7:4 so that the chance of getting a nut centred one is 4/14 = 2/7. So, I am presuming that the answer would be 4... but I am not certain...

Hi there,
Total number of sweets = 28
Total number of nut centred chocolates = 8
Probability of picking a nut centred chocolate first time = 8/28 or 2/7
Hope this helps :-)
