Question 1072032: formula for question is p-pooled=p1xn1+p2*n2)/(n1+n2
The table has the following information noclowns nightmares 12 Clowns nightmares 30 Nice dreams no clowns 35 nice dreams 8
My formula for the pooled proportion is the following
0.255-0.789/squrt 0.49 (1-0.49) (1/47+1/38) but my answer is wrong
Other workings used are p1 12/35+12 = 0.255
P2 30/8+30 = 0.789 then I did the following 12+30/35+12+30+8 = 0.49
Can any on help we with this as the answer is wrong where am I going wrong in this Perform a Z-test on nightmares after the no-clown circus minus nightmares after the clown circus. Report the test statistic.
