Suppose you just received a shipment of 8 televisions. 3 of which are defective. If 2 televisions are randomly selected, compute the probability that both televisions work. What is the probability at least 1 of the 2 televisions do not work?
Binomial Problem with n = 2 and p(defective) = 3/8 ; q(work) = 5/8
P(2 of 2 work) = (5/8)^2 = 0.3906
P(at least 1 does not) = 1 - P(both work) = 1-0.3906 = 0.6094
