The matter is that the meaning slips off totally from this formulation.

I'd formulate it in this way (for example):

" There are 10 prizes. In how many ways can you award 3 people so each person obtain one prize from this collection? "

If it is the meaning of your post, then the answer is 10*9*8.

The word "disperse" is not applicable in this context.
